again. Frequently we can not only match the prices
of the multiples but can substantially undercut

Again we can match most of the
opposition when it comes to offers. We have been
running our "2 for 1" for years and have
recently improved it to include bifocals and varifocals.
Children’s
spectacles free of charge
We feel that children’s
eyesight is very important. Not only do we spend
time with them to make sure they get the most suitable
prescription we know they can be conscious of wearing
spectacles. We offer a wide range of very attractive
frames which are free of charge to the parent. We
sometimes get a problem when we tell children they
don’t need spectacles as often they want a
pair like their friend’s!
Zeiss
spectacle lenses
A bit like the famous beer Zeiss
spectacle lenses are “probably the best”
you can get. Ask for Zeiss lenses at any opticians
and you’ll probably be shocked by the price.
However, at Maloney’s you’ll find that
Zeiss lenses come at a price you would pay for an
“ordinary” lens elsewhere. Do a price
comparison! You will find that we are £££s
cheaper.

Lens experience
We have been fitting contact
lenses for years and years. We take a delight in
any challenging cases whether it is a specially
shaped gas permeable lens to correct astigmatism,
one of the new soft bifocal lenses to give good
vision at near and far or simply a daily disposable
to help you enjoy a game of squash or golf. Our
prices are good too, often matching those on the
internet.
Wide selection
of frames
We try to stock frames for every
taste and pocket. Not only do we stock most of the
designer frames including the latest rimless from
Silhouette and Air Titanium which with lenses can
set you back a few hundred pounds we also stock
cheap and cheerful models which if you have the
benefit of a NHS voucher will cost you nothing.
Latest
equipment
We like to have modern equipment
and frequently get remarks from patients about “how
things have changed” and “it’s
nice not to have to wear those heavy old trial frames
for doing the test”. Our latest equipment
arrivals include a retinal camera that gives us
a marvellous view of the back of the eye, the digital
image can be seen on a computer screen so that you
can see the back of your own eye as well!
In house
glazing
We have invested in some of the
latest automated glazing equipment so that many
of the spectacles we prescribe can be produced “in
house”. This gives us greater control so if
you want a pair of spectacles in less than an hour
we’ll try and do it in 30 minutes.
